As I wait for Windows 8.1 RT to finish downloading (will it be before the next debt ceiling instance)? i really dislike the McConnel Rule (debt ceiling). The debt ceiling and how the US uses it says a lot about how bad things are ($4+ trillion increase under Obama alone). I got to thinking, how about another political type post. The world doesn't have enough of those does it?
Me for president of the US in 2016, why not?
- First off, why would someone who views patriotism as a form of stupidity, secession as a good idea and views the US as a dead country limping out its last days even want to be president?
Well, basically getting more and more tired of all of the crap. The crap I am referring to is the apparent US government view on debt. They treat it as insignificant, something they can get and forget (never actually having to pay it back). They think way too short term. This is a cataclysm waiting to happen. Coming sort of soon-ish, maybe. Debt is a tax. You can only go so far before the rest of the world says "enough".
The US needs someone who will actually try to tackle the debt problem, not push it off to future leaders to push off to other future leaders. The US needs a smaller, less-intrusive government, not a larger more intrusive government. Think of this as kind of a "turn-around CEO" scenario. There is a lot of red ink to eliminate (and currently no will to actually do it).
The US can ill afford its current practices of vote buying and promoting jealousy. That is a failure of Democracy. Since the horrible days of FDR, the US has been a failure as a democracy.
What I would like to accomplish if made overlord of the world (or at least president of the US) is to decrease the national debt (at today's amount) by at least 1% in 4 years. I've already outlined some of the ways I would like to do this. Yes, it would be painful (but pain is necessary).
i'm all about the Benjamins or Chases (look it up, Salmon P. Chase) and social issues are state's issues. The US needs to quit spending as many of those as possible. I believe that the current tax inflows are more than sufficient to run the US government.
If you would like to see some of my views look for the MCM label on some of my previous posts. I've obviously never thought of this stuff before.
I am so disgusted with the lawmakers in Washington state, that I refuse to vote for either the Republican or Democrat, therefore I am going to use my write in vote and vote for you on the next election.
