Xbox Year in Review 2024

i kind of used to use a Video Game "blog" thing, but don't play as much as i used to.  Kind of a down year of playtime for me (played 920 hours in 2023 and only 640 in 2024).  Maybe because i only had Game Pass for 4 months.  Also, lots of Hulu streaming.  Apparently, i didn't play that many games i "own" this year.

So here are my stats for 2024 (not sure they're completely accurate), subject to change a little bit before 2025:

* Time Spent: 640 hours

* Achievements Earned: 457

* Gamerscore Earned: 13,452

* Games Played: 55

* Preferred Platform: Console (531 hours)

* Genres: Role Playing (40%), Action/Adventure (23%), Card/Board (17%), Family/Kids (8%), Other (12%)

Most Anticipated Game of 2025: Lunar Remastered Collection (Spring 2025). Not a stat they would know, but it is true.

* MSFT Reward Points Earned in 2024: 130,868 (spent mostly on Xbox Gift Cards and 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate).  In 2023, the number was 176,728 - so a definite nerf on points (coupled with less Game Pass rewards points).

Top 10% time played, Top 1% GamerScore and Achievements Unlocked.

Top Games (only top 3 have associated times, guess i could look up the rests in Game Card/stats): 

1) Microsoft Solitaire (107 hours, stats reset on me, use for the 20-point MSFT rewards daily)

2) Octopath Traveler 2 (87 hours) - Game Pass. End bosses are ridiculous and annoying.

3) Persona 3 Reload (80 hours) - Game Pass

4) Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realm - Free to Play

5) Bleach: Brave Souls Anime Game - Free to Play

6) Ben 10 Power Trip - Game Pass

7) Sword and Fairy Together Forever - Game Pass

8) Euyiden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes - Game Pass

9) Persona 4 Tactica - Game Pass

10) Puzzle Quest 3 - Free to Play (quit playing, i think last year's #1)

11) Grandia HD Collection - actually bought (haven't played that much)

12) Dordogne - Game Pass

13) TOEM - Game Pass

14) Disney Dreamlight Valley - Game Pass

15) Clicker Heroes - Free to Play

17) Metaphor ReFantazio DEMO - played the demo 1x, maybe 3 hours.

i foresee most of the Free to Play games disappearing from next year's list (assuming such a thing exists).  Unless there are some new interesting ones.  Only Clicker Heroes will likely remain in 2025 list (because that game takes forever to complete. Beat level 3,600 aargh).  i guess, technically, Microsoft Solitaire too.
