Butterfinger (ok Nestle) launched their version of peanut butter cups around Super Bowl time. So how do I feel these stack up against the venerable Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

* Structural Integrity:
The Butterfinger version seems to have the edge here with a little thicker chocolate.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups tend to get squished at times (having weaker top and bottom chocolate sections)
* Chocolate:
The Butterfinger version has seemingly a little sweeter and thicker chocolate.
* Peanut Buttery-ness:
Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups taste more like a Butterfinger was thrown in a blender. The consistency is kind of smooth with Butterfinger micro bits strewn throughout. I've never thought the Butterfinger tasted like it was peanut buttery.
Reese's Peanut butter cups have been around for a while. It tastes like a little bit dry smooth peanut butter.
*"Nutritional" Stuff
Butterfinger version: 110 Calories, 11 g Sugar
Reese's: 100 calories, about 10 g Sugar
Winner of the showdown:
Butterfinger peanut butter cups are a decent candy, having better structural integrity and a little better chocolate than the Reese's version. They are a little sweeter and don't taste as much like actual peanut butter (to me).
Reese's peanut butter cups are still good for me. The chocolate may not be quite as good and they may get squished at an abnormally high rate, but they do taste like peanut butter to me.
The winner is....
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Mini (Reese's without the smashed ones)
