Lately I have been in the mood for a Blizzard (maybe this has to do with a long stretch of temperatures over 80°). Anything over 65° is hot for me (Fahrenheit, though Celsius would be really, really hot).
So, I walk down to the Dairy Queen (probably in 90° heat) and order a large Butterfinger Blizzard. I was kind of taken aback by the price of $5.25 after taxes (though the large is bigger than I remember, the size of a large shake). I don't remember Blizzards being that expensive (I think the medium size would have been at least $4.50 after taxes). The Blizzard tasted ok, but I don't think i'll be going back there anytime soon. I guess that the large size in 21oz though (medium is about 13oz).
Wow, the calories (960). Why does DQ show their product weight in grams in the US?. I guess according to my Fitbit (like that is right) I've burned 3,303 calories so far today.
I noticed a tip bowl in DQ, when did they start doing this?
I wonder if McDonalds still has the McFlurry. I guess they do (12oz), only Oreos and M&Ms? Lame. Their McCafe shakes look better than they used to. There has to be a third alternative somewhere.
Summer Sucks! I said it once, and i'm sure it won't be the last time.
I was thinking what is good about blue skies. The answer I came up with is nothing. i'm not a plant, so the dangerous solar radiation doesn't impact me in the same way.
If I ever won a large lottery jackpot (that would make me happy, so the universe would never allow it to happen), I would like to expand on the pioneering works of that great visionary C. Montgomery Burns. It would be awesome to block out the sun on my property (if I ever got one). The neighbors would probably have issues with it - I guess I could make it so solar cells cover the property (blocking evil direct sunlight), people still buy the "green" BS, right? If I had enough money the neighbors wouldn't be an issue (buy their houses and bulldoze them, combining property lots).
Songs have their metaphors all wrong. "I can see clearly now the rain has gone" - no, I can't see anything it is too bright and there is too much glare. Also, why are my arms turning a shade of red?
The way I see it: Clouds good, sun bad.
