my Surface RT, One Month Later

Has it really been a month already?  One month ago today (October 26th), i bought my Microsoft Surface RT.  So how have things been?

Connectivity:
i hate the Comcast/Arris TG862 (will they ever push out the firmware update - will you Comcast?).  i can easily connect to the library wi-fi.

Office:
i power cycled the Arris TG862 just long enough to update Office.  It is kind of nice having office on the tablet - though if you really want to use it well, you will need one of the covers (type or touch).  The version is Home and Student (i wish it was Home/Business instead).  Yes, it is better than the web apps.

Apps:
The Window Store has been steadily growing for the month.  There are now 10,000 apps in total (over 8,000 free).  There are a lot of the bigger name apps (especially games) missing, but that kind of thing takes time.

Some apps seem expensive - but i kind of like having some apps that have gamerscore (even if they are $5).  As for paid apps i currently have: Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Star Wars, Cut the Rope (not Xbox on windows branded), Fruit Ninja and 4 Elements II: Special Edition.  i only have 200/200 on Adera so far (Chapter one is free).  i think they should leverage some of their Xbox Live Arcade properties on Windows RT.

Will MSFT ever introduce a pre-paid card (come on let me use MSFT points, then i wouldn't have to pay 9.5% sales tax on apps).  Xbox points would be optimal (they are one of the few pre-paid cards that i can find almost everywhere).

Regrets:
So, do i have any regrets purchasing the Surface RT (and the accessories i seem to "need").  i think that it is still $100 too much or should have included at least the touch cover in the base unit.  The apps are kind of expensive (the ones i am inclined to look at).

i actually like Windows RT - i find it intuitive and fairly easy to use.  Sure, it won't run legacy apps, but in my case that isn't a negative.  Most legacy apps have issue with touch controls anyway.  Yes, i do miss Windows Media player (though i haven't tried to play any MP3s/videos on it).  There are also a couple of other things i miss.

The form factor is a little bigger than i would have liked (i wish they would have had a cheaper 7 or 8.9" alternative).

If there wasn't a Microsoft Store within walking distance, i probably would be posting on how i like my Kindle Fire HD or Google Nexus 7.
