i miss the 80s. However, i couldn't purchase all of the songs i wanted (some are not easy to find, or only have one/a couple of decent songs. That is where the compilation comes in. For 80s songs, the only compilation series i have all of the volumes is Living In Oblivion (EMI Records). The 80s were hardly an oblivion (especially compared to the cultural wasteland that is today).

Commentary:
A mostly solid track list, with maybe a few too many obscure British groups (especially in the US). Includes such 80s staples as: "Mickey", "(Get It On) Bang a Gong", "Lay Your Hands on Me", "Heart and Soul", "Only the Lonely", and "Walking on Sunshine" (not the Futurama Fry's dog version).
Vaguely Remembered:
"Love Missile F1-11" - i think it was a minor song (shower scene) on the Ferris Bueller's Day Off soundtrack. "Church of the Poison Mind" - not the best Culture Club song. "Never Ending Story" - from the movie of the same name (Limahl was the singer of Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy")
Didn't Remember, but was Ok With:
"Let Me Go", "Love Plus One", "Just Got Lucky", "Living in a Box", "Mickey (Spanish Version)" - "Oh Mickey, como estas. como estas, me gustas mas"
Not a Huge Fan Of:
"Love Missile F1-11", "88 Lines About 44 Women" - a bit risqué for me and too much talking.
Albums Bought
- Powerstation - The Powerstation (No longer have). Robert Palmer vocals and a couple members of Duran Duran
- Bananarama - Greatest Hits (getting for Xmas, may have previously owned), didn't get it for this song. This will be/has been mentioned in another post
- Living in a Box - Greatest Hits. After getting the album, also liked "Different Air" and "Room in Your Heart". Decent vocals and songs. Apparently from a sub-genre called "sophisti-pop" that i kind of liked in the 80s. 2 albums and done (kind of like Breathe and Johnny Hates Jazz).
- Culture Club - Greatest Hits. Might have got from my sister (BMG or Columbia House). Didn't get for that song though
