Not Exactly the Time Machine i Was Hoping For

You know how i wished for a time machine to go back to a time life wasn't so evil / hopeless / filled with BS.  Well surprisingly, i didn't get that for Xmas.  Santa has forsaken me yet again.

Instead, i got this for Solstice (one of the most expensive presents i ever purchased myself. #1 an Xbox Series S - stimulus check sponsored).  Yes, that is a LEGO Back to the Future Delorean.  Sadly, the flux capacitor seems to be more of a sticker than functional (or at best a printed piece).  This is the first of three versions (there are not enough extra pieces to do all the variations).  i haven't tried the other two models (mostly slight variation in engine or wheels).

Got to go back in time. Yes, Back to the Future takes place in the past. Odd, huh? i would still prefer 2015 to today.

This is a much different type of LEGO set than i usually put together (architecture), so the build seemed a little harder than usual - with more Technic pieces. i only really messed up a few times.  You would think i would be better off at following directions by now.

The picture doesn't really do it justice - it is about 13.5 inches long and 4 inches tall.  Did you see Singe's tail in the left of the picture (Singe is the dragon from Dragon's Lair - a game that i never actually beat, i did get to Singe though).
