My Crappy Xmas Decorating Job 2011

So, i decided to put up a fake tree in my room again.  This one is kind of a cast-off, as it is the old tree of the person i am currently staying with.  It kind of annoys me that the tree seems so off balance (at least in the branch department (and there is at least one branch missing).  Maybe there will be a second post at a later date.

You might want pictures so you can see how bad this is....

i fricking suck at putting lights on the tree.  i, think the picture speaks for itself.  This is a 6' fake tree with 4 sets of 60 LED mini lights (faceted, so i can eventually tell what i bought here and what i already had).  i probably should have added a 5th or 6 string of lights (maybe later, yeah right).  To make things worse, i had the lights on badly and the fake tree kind of fell apart when i was moving it.  That kind of messed up the placement of more than a few lights.  i need to find some kind of a tree topper too (maybe later - i forgot to check at Target when i was there).  i don't have ornaments either (that could be a problem - but i don't need the ones i have in the more awesome place sent here).

If some people want to be me a ton of presents (preferably literally) there is an empty space under the tree that needs to be decorated.  i think presents will do the job nicely.

Apparently, there will be no Xmas without Stuffins (CVS) Rudolph.  These are in better shape than i thought they would be.  i think most of these (if not all) are the 1999 versions.

Right now this is just a couple of LED candles.  These candles have a photo sensor (to turn on when it is dark) - i wonder how that will work in a room with no windows.  Eventually, i would like to add a couple of stocking holders and stockings on the other side of the candles (or between them).  Maybe i'll take my Halloween mini flame light and put it in the fireplace (or not).   i should have zoomed the picture in a little more

i also have a 9' Blue LED rope light that i will do something with eventually (i'm not sure what, but it is kind of cool).  There are a couple of other things i am considering picking up (most lighted LED things).  There is a Merry Christmas LED thing at Target that might look good on the wall behind the candles (if i can find out how to hang it) - about 4-6" above the candles would be cool.  It would have been fun to put lights on the outside of this place, but i don't think i can afford it.
